Cancer Detection Program (CDP)

Women are eligible for a free breast exam and mammogram through California’s CDP program if they are no longer of child bearing age, low income per reference table below (validation of income is not required), have medical insurance that does not cover these services, have a high insurance deductible or co-payment, do not have access to these services through Medi-Cal or other government program, and live in California.

Call CDP @ 1.800.511.2300, M-F 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, and Vietnamese, to determine if you qualify. You will be referred to participating physicians in your neighborhood. If you do not qualify for CDP, you may be referred to other low-income, low-cost screening programs in your area. FamilyPact Program

Women are eligible for the Family Planning Access Care and Treatment, PACT program if they are at risk of pregnancy, low income or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (validation of income is not required), and have no other source of healthcare coverage for family planning services. FamilyPact is administered by the California DHS, Office of Family Planning:


Most health insurance, including MediCal and MediCare, are accepted. HMO plans require pre-authorization.


Women who do not qualify for CDP or FamilyPACT may pay $80.00 for a mammogram.
